What you really are

It starts like a movie trailer, there is a guy in a jeep with the a sunroof and a guy on top of the jeep. The guy on tp of the jeep and the guy inside are fighting. The guy inside is holding the man on top by his shirt and making him lean forward, as if to protect himself from something the guy on top is doing. The guy on top starts spitting fire, then water then lets out a thunderous roar then finally ice. After he is done he is weakened and has obviously wasted his power.

Cut to a scene in ancient china with my first person view of fighting a powerful ruler. I know I cannot beat him and I have to submit to what he wants. But I can't tell what that is.

Cut to present day, I am with Chloe's family visiting, then they all turn into my family which is made up of me, my friend Eddie and another random girl I dont know that's my sister. We are doing regular fam stuff. There is something really significant happening around this part that I cannot quite remember, but I remember being hugged by my father, and him telling me quietly "I love you more than anything in the world for what you are right now, I love you because what you are right now is the most pure and special person in the world, but you will see what you will become, and i'm sorry for what you are meant to become."

I got the sense in the dream that I was to become the spirit of the powerful ruler I was fighting in the beginning, he wanted to live forever and he infused his sould with mine. Any thoughts on this situation?
